Last week saw some leaks and rumors about Xiaomi next Mi 6 flagship smartphone. On Friday, some smartphone renderings leaked online, further suggesting a dual-camera back-set along with a possible April 11 release date. Now another rumor seems to list the price of the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus in all expected models.
According to a leak from GizChina, the next Xiaomi Mi 6 will supposedly be released in 4GB of RAM + 32GB of storage, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants in the price of CNY 1,999 (R $ 19,000), CNY 2,299 (Rs 21,800) E CNY 2,699 (about Rs 25,600), respectively. The largest Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus on the other hand is inclined to be offered in 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, which will have a price of CNY 2,599 (about Rs 24,700), CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs 28,500) and CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 33,200), respectively.
Of course, without an official confirmation from the company, one should take these models and prices with a pinch of salt. However, if they remain true, prices seem very competitive, what is expected of the company. The previous Mi 5 flagship was priced extremely well in India and the smartphone itself marked all the right boxes in our review and Xiaomi will look to take it up a notch with the Mi 6 smartphone.
As far as we know, the Mi 6 Plus badge has been tilted to sport a Quad HD 2K OLED screen with curved double curves and dual rear camera configuration, while the Mi 6 is supposed to sport a flat screen. Both flagships must be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology for fast load support. The smartphone is also expected to house a 4000mAh battery, though this is likely to be for the Mi 6 Plus. Again, we would like to remind our readers that no specification has been announced by the company yet.
